QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE Shady Grove (1969 South African 9-track LP on the rainbow-rimmed Capitol label, the first Quicksilver album to feature the British journeyman, Nicky Hopkins, who had previously worked with The Rolling Stones, TheBeatles & The Who, front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with hard-to-spot 'Artone press' credit to the reverse. The laminate has contracted under the African sun and is split or lifted along the spine and rippled along the edges, although the card underneath is free from tears or splits. There is a Natal addressed annotation sticker to the inside of the gatefold and on the Side 1 label, whilst the vinyl itself shows few signs of play leaving it Excellent STAO-391)
