Documenting a unique collaborative project initiated by Lo Recordings  in May 1997. The label received a DAT tape containing 30 one-minute  guitar pieces by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. Each piece was  duplicated onto individual tapes and sealed inside custom-designed  vacuum-cleaner bags. One hundred of these bags were distributed to  a selected group of visual artists and musicians, each invited to create  a new work using the original recording as a starting point. The result  is a fascinating collection of 30 guitar pieces by Thurston Moore,  remixed, remodelled and reshaped, presented here as an expansive  and exploratory listening experience.
