4.A.D. 23 Envelope Posters (Extremely rare 1986 first poster set
created by 23 Envelope; the groundbreaking graphic design team set
up by Vaughan Oliver and Nigel Grierson. Together, their artwork
adorned almost all 4AD releases during its early 'golden age' with
their designs creating the label's aesthetic. This set of FIFTEEN posters
includes the Cocteau Twins, Colourbox, Modern English, Richenel,This
Mortal Coil, Voix Bulgares, Xmal Deutschland and Xymox. Still housed
in the original fold out envelope, with the 4AD catalogue number
[WAD23] stickered to both the front and bacK. The original [and
fragile] light cream envelope shows several marks to both front and
back [see pictures] but is free of any rips/tears etc, the posters
themselves are bright, clean and in wonderful Near Mint condition. An
eminently collectable and moreover, complete collection of prints that
blur the distinction between album sleeve/poster design and fine art -
