Originally released in 1968 and signifying the birth of Dr John, The Night Tripper, previously known as Mac Rebennack! A unique fusion of voodoo mysticism, funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock and Creole roots, includes the amazing 8-minute 'I Walk On Gilded Splinters': sheer genius! The sleeve shows just some noticable shelfwear whilst the vinyl has just the odd very faint hairline to indicate play SD33-234)
