THE SPECIAL AKA Gangsters (Original 1979 UK solid centre AA-side 7" single with paper labels, featuring the early 'fade out' version of the classic Specials track - This is the earliest Rough Trade distributed issue limited to 5000 copies, pressed by Orlake Records & plated by engineer Eddy Gorecki, with etched 'TT+1-3 - GANGSTERS/ TT2-1 E.G.' in the run-outs. Comes complete with the original plain white die-cut sleeve stamped by the band themselves with the words THE SPECIAL A.K.A'Gangsters' Vs THE SELECTER. Also features the b-side 'The Selecter' by The Selecter. The delicate sleeve [VG+] reveals just a little ageing with the odd tiny spot of edge wear [the stamp still looks strong & legible] whilst the vinyl is clean & grades Excellent with a few faint signs of play only TT1/2)
