JOHN OGDEN & BRENDA LUCAS Bartók: Sonata For Two Pianos And Percussion / Piano Concerto No. 3 (1968 UK 5-track stereo LP on the red semi-circle Nipper HMV label, featuring a superb performance of Béla Bartók's Sonata For Two Pianos & Percussion alongside Piano Concerto No. 3. The sonata is performed by the distinguished husband-and-wife piano duo John Ogdon and Brenda Lucas, joined by percussionists James Blades and Tristan Fry, with Sir Georg Solti conducting the London Symphony Orchestra for the concerto. Housed in a front-laminated flipback picture sleeve with detailed liner notes on the reverse. The sleeve displays some light shelfwear with minor discolouration and a small area of paper loss to one flipback. The vinyl itself is in stunning Near Mint condition, showing only the lightest signs of any previous handling ASD2347)
