TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
When talented musicians from The Byrds, The Hollies and Buffalo Springfield decided to form a group, the term 'Supergroup' couldn't be more fitting and this, their debut album, was destined to become a classic. Not only were they three gifted songwriters, they were superb vocalists providing some awesome vocal harmonies throughout the album.
A year later they were joined [officially] by Neil Young (who you can see peeking through the door on the back of the sleeve), the bands name was lengthened and another mighty talent was added to an already 'Supergroup'.
It's a popular misconception that this first issue sold well. The album peaked at number 25 in the UK charts and only begun selling in vast quantities only after Neil Young joined the group, by this time of course Atlantic had changed label colours from plum and red to orange and green, distributors from Polydor to Warner Brothers, and the album had been reissued with a "K" prefix number.

Condition:

When issued in 1969, the textured gatefold picture sleeve had a felt-like feel to it which, although nice, was not very practical in terms of long term storage and these sleeves are now quite often found badly worn. This copy has just a little edge scuffing and the spine print can still be read.

The labels are Atlantic plum and red in design.
The matrix numbers have been machine stamped into the dead vinyl, they are as follows:

Side one 588189 A//2
Side two 588189 B//2

The vinyl remains in superb condition with just a few faint scuffs visible upon close inspection, after play testing have no real impact on play!

You don't often see sleeve and vinyl like this - A nice copy, indeed!
