STEPPENWOLF Steppenwolf (1970 UK Stateside orange label issue of the debut 1968 11-track stereo LP, featuring the classic 'Born To Be Wild', which coined the name for an entire genre with the line "heavy metal thunder". Other highlights include a heavy version of 'Hootchie Kootchie Man' & a pounding tour-de-force cover of Hoyt Axton's anti-drug song 'The Pusher'.
