TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
Condition
The Box:
As expected, the slipcase box has weakened a little over time, with just a little light scuffing and a light crease in the laminate along the bottom. This is not excessive & the outside of the box still stands proud & looks the part. The inner parts of the box show very few signs of age.
LP:
The picture sleeve shows just light creasing to the laminate at the opening edge. As with all first issues, the Apple on the rear of the sleeve is red. There are no rips or tears, all text is clearly legible & the condition is excellent or above. The labels are clean and the vinyl is Excellent with only light signs of play.
The Book:
This is also laminated on the cover. There is just a little scuffing to the edges, but again, nothing unreasonable. By some miracle, this is one of the few surviving copies where the pages have not detached from the spine.
This is a known manufacturing fault that caused the vast majority of these books to quickly self destruct. This copy is intact and shows no creasing to the cover or defacing inside.
The Poster:
This measures 9½" x 16½" and is folded as designed, neatly at appproximately 12" to fit into the box. The heading [and alternate name for this poster] is 'These fine albums are available now on APPLE. You should have them.'
The design features the fifteen Apple album releases up to that point in full colour, with catalogue numbers beneath so that you could rush back to your local shop & order the rest. With the designed fold, the top half has nine designs & the bottom half has the other six. This is in superb condition, free from holes or wear, with just a little age yellowing creeping in on the edges. Very few copies came with this poster insert & very few posters have survived the intervening years or remained with the box. A treat.
Overall this is a superb condition copy with almost pristine contents. The box, as with nearly all of the boxes, has suffered some distress along the way but is intact and complete. You would do well to find many complete copies in better condition than this one and the price reflects the imperfect nature of the box, even though this is the de facto norm. A very nice copy indeed.
