ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet (Very rare 1969 UK pressed London blue & silver label 10-track stereo vinyl LP, originally intended for export to the US [hence the US catalogue number of PS539] but exported to Japan instead. Housed in the original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold picture sleeve with changed credits on the back, complete with rare original Japanese promotional only 7" flexi disc featuring an interview with Mick Jagger in its own unique custom paper picture sleeve & the almost impossible to find original obi insert! This is a genuine First Japanese issue. The second issue had 'All Selections Mirage Music Ltd' removed from the sleeve & 'Prodigal Son' was credited to Rev. Wilkins instead of Jagger/Richard.
Album Details
The labels show only very small amounts of spindlewear with the vinyl in a really nice condition with just a few hairline light marks visible on close scrutiny. Housed in the original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold picture sleeve with changed credits on the back & 'ffrr' London die cut inner. The sleeve is in superb condition and shows negligible shelfwear. Best of all it is complete with Japanese insert, lyric insert & the impossibly rare wide obi-strip.
The obi, as usually seen, has a few light crease marks but is other complete without any rips or tears.
Flexi Disc Details
Rare original 1968 Japanese promotional only 7" flexi disc. This fantastic rarity features an interview with Mick Jagger and the disc is printed with Japanese text, housed in a unique custom paper picture sleeve featuring a great 'out-take' picture from the Banquet photo shoot on the front with Japanese text on the back, this too is in great condition. Japanese promo-only items are manufactured in very small numbers.
